Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

Nigerian students must possess a minimum Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) score of 160 or JAMB's yearly official cut off score to be considered for admission at AUN. Also required for admissions consideration are five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, on no more than two Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) sittings. Exceptions, if any, are made on a case-by-case basis.

Students from other countries are welcome to join our international community. They also must demonstrate their preparedness for university study through official external exam scores (the bac, for example) and secondary school transcripts, which must reflect preparation similar to that required for Nigerian students.听

The minimum admission requirements for Engineering and Technology disciplines should be passed at credit level in the SSCE or General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level (鈥淥 Level鈥) in five subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry.

Prospective engineering and technology students from Nigeria are also required to have an acceptable pass in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates who have Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing at credit levels will have added advantage.

Candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honors) program must in addition possess a credit in Literature-in-English.

Having the above scores and grades does not guarantee admission into the University. The above-mentioned requirements only qualify you for admission consideration and not necessarily acceptance.听

AUN admissions counselors will assess an applicant鈥檚 overall performance through reviewing all materials submitted, including official secondary school transcripts and JAMB scores, as well as other evidence of academic achievement from sources such as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Nigeria鈥檚 National Examination Council (NECO), Nigeria鈥檚 National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the 听International Baccalaureate (IB) program, Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT), 黑料网 College Test (ACT), the French Baccalaure谩t, etc.
