黑料网 (AUN), in collaboration with ActionAid Nigeria, proudly celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of participants in the Humanitarian, Development, and Peacebuilding Nexus (HDPN) training program. The ceremony took place on November 8 at the AUN Library Auditorium.
While welcoming guests at the event, Dr. Adewale James, AUN Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs offered words of encouragement and highlighted the importance of the training initiative.
In his special remarks, the President, Dr. Dewayne Frazier, commended the partnership between AUN and ActionAid for addressing pressing humanitarian challenges.
In her address, Suwaiba Muhammad Dankabo, ActionAid Nigeria鈥檚 Deputy Country Director and Director of Programs, emphasized the significance of the collaboration. 鈥淭his initiative strengthens partnerships with leading institutions such as AUN, the University of Maiduguri, and Nasarawa State University. Together, we are setting a bold precedent for collaborative solutions to humanitarian and developmental challenges,鈥 she stated.
Graduates of the program shared their testimonials, highlighting the enriching experiences gained throughout the training. Danladi Bitrus Mamza from the Norwegian Refugee Council expressed gratitude, calling the HDPN training 鈥渁 valuable eye-opener for the humanitarian family in the Northeast.鈥 听Mr. Felix Apir of the Network of Adamawa NGOs (NANGO) emphasized the training鈥檚 collaborative spirit, calling it an 鈥渆ye-opener that encourages teamwork for fruitful outcomes.鈥
In his closing remarks, the Administrator of Grants and Contracts at AUN, Head of AID, and Dean of the School of Engineering, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Hussaini, celebrated the participants鈥 dedication and expressed confidence in their ability to apply the HDPN approach within their organizations.
The HDPN training initiative aims to tackle the challenges associated with humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts. By providing practical tools and actionable frameworks, the program equips practitioners with the essential skills to foster sustainable and collective outcomes.
