Fortunately, I was opportune to attend a primary school that embraced creativity by indulging us students in art projects to build our cognitive, physical, and social development. Arts and crafts such as coloring, painting, and designing hand-made objects are fun activities for kids. Similarly, arts and crafts enhance dexterity, self-expression, creativity, and visual learning; Thus, I would love to give less-opportune students in Yola the chance to be kids and embrace their imagination and harness and discover any hidden gifts and talent. I aim to visit at least four primary schools in Yola, Adamawa State before MISS AUN 2021 tenure ends.
Aims and Objectives of the Classroom Makeover Project听
It is established that a well-designed classroom can boost learning development in primary school pupils, and also, a comfortable learning environment can enhance the pupils' performance. Thus, this project aims at giving students in Yola a suitable and beautiful environment to aid their learning growth and make them proactive students in their class activities. I aim to visit at least four primary schools in Yola, Adamawa State, during the MISS AUN 2021 tenure. The first school on my agenda is Bako Primary School, Yola, and we will be starting with primary 1 class, which consists of 4 arms (Pri. 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D) with a total of 200 students.
My Motivation
I am motivated to give these kids this experience and opportunity because I can testify to what art and creativity can do. Because I attended a school that encouraged art, it helped me discover my gift and talent early in life, and that gift is taking me places. I believe that everyone on earth was born with a gift; some can draw, some can cook, some can write, some can talk, and some can build. There is no one person without a gift, and I am keen on helping others discover theirs because our gift is a source of our value. Art is an underrated weapon that needs to be leveraged on, I am who I am because of art, and I believe by doing this project, I will open the mind of others.

How this Project Furthers the Aims and Objectives of the AUN Development Philosophy
As a development university that aims to build a sustainable community, this project embodies its goals because through it:
We not only create aesthetically pleasing classrooms which will aid pupils in their learning progress and enhance their class performance,
We also engage the minds of students with fun arts and craft projects that can build their cognitive development, dexterity, visual learning, improve hand-eye coordination, and encourage self-expression.
The University has not carried out such a project before. Thus, it provides a unique perspective and approach to carry out community service, and I believe it will impact the community.
This project aims to start from Fall 2021, and I urge people to kindly donate to make this possible.
