On February, 18, 2025, President Dewayne Frazier honored staff and faculty members who took part in the Academic Impression virtual course training with more course participation, on February 18, 2025, in his office. This is in fulfillment of a promise made by the President to reward any AUN community member who accessed the most courses from the globally acclaimed academic resource development center, Academic Impressions, during the summer. In fulfillment of his promise a few months ago, Dr. Frazier rewarded the staff and faculty who completed the most tasks with proofs.
The award presentation which took place in the President’s Office was attended by members of senior management including the Provost, Professor Paul Vita, the Registrar. Mr. Daniel Okereke, VP Finance, Ms. Nnenna Mosugu, the deans of the School of Engineering and Graduate, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Hussieni, and Dr. Adewale James, respectively, as well as AVP Human Resources, Mrs. Faizatu Abubakar, and the Director of HR, Mr. Mustapha Atiku.
Speaking at the event, AUN Staff Coordinator of the Academic Impression, Ms. Monica Adama, explained that this program was the first in the history of AUN and before the program, many staff had to travel abroad, some to Lagos for seminars and a whole lot of places for workshops and seminars, she further stated that staff were grateful that this had come to their doorstep. This program, according to her, was set to bestow on staff and faculties leadership skills, and training on the ºÚÁÏÍø style of education, and administrative responsibility as a whole.
President Frazier expressed his gratitude to the Coordinators of the Academic Impression course study for their devotion to responsibility. He also acknowledged the Communication and Marketing Department for effective dissemination of information, and emphasized that motivation of staff who would distinguish themselves is a key principle of his administration.
The first, second and third prizes were awarded to Ms. Emilienne Akpan (faculty), Mr. Musa Dabo and Mr. Abubakar Bana Mohammed, both from the HR department. The President presented the winners with a cash prize and gifts.
