Dr. Saheed joined AUN in September 2020. Prior to joining AUN, he was the Head of Department, Computer Science Department, at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria. His previous academic positions include director of quality assurance and postgraduate coordinator.

An expert in cyber/information security, intrusion detection systems, machine learning, and data science. His research interests are in the fields of machine learning, bioinformatics, deep learning, and computer security. Specifically, to detect malicious activities from cloud computing, IoT, the Internet of Medical Things, SCADA systems, and industrial control systems over virtual machines and physical systems. Also, he is into developing and designing threat detection and forensic methods for the cyber-physical system and Industry 4.0 technologies. He has other relevant industry certifications, which include a Professional Certificate in Data Science and Machine Learning and Cyber Security Incident Handling and Response. He is a Certified Network Security Specialist.

He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society, a member of the Internet Society, a member of the International Association of Engineers and Computer Scientists, and a member of the Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communication.

As a scholar, he has published in reputable peer-reviewed Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals with meaningful impact factors both locally and internationally. He has earned a research impact of over 440 citations, an h-index of 11, and an i10-index of 12 on Google Scholar. He has presented papers at local and international conferences and published papers in several local and international journals. He has accepted book chapters from publishers like Springer, Elsevier, Bentham Science, Taylor & Francis CRC Press, IET, and Emerald Publishers. He is an active reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Network Science, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, the International Journal of Knowledge Discovery in Bioinformatics, the International Journal of Data Mining, the Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems Journal, and the International Journal of Computing and Digital Systems.
